Families & Faith Dinner: Food and Conversation with Parents
Saturday, January 24, 2026 / 5:00 - 7:30 pm / Crossroads Hall
Parenting is hard work— work we have been equipped for by God. Over many generations, families have come to St. Peter’s to experience the love and support of a faith community, to minister to others, and to grow closer to God. Modern life can make this difficult, especially for parents who face many demands on their time and attention. How can the church meet them where they are now, not where they are “expected” to be?
We invite you on January 24 for a simple evening of food and conversation—no programming, no instruction, no experts (sorry!), but listening to stories as we learn about the realities of parenting in 2026. We would love to see you there as we journey together towards the spaces God is opening up for us in this time. There is no other expectation beyond this event, so please join us!
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We have a good number of families with children of all ages here at St. Peter’s. We know it’s hard for many of you to be present, and to feel connected. But we also know that there is a reason why so many of you have kept the connection to your faith. We would love to hear your stories, and learn how we can meet you where you are right now.
-
Any and all parents connected to St. Peter’s, including newer baptismal families, families in the thick of the school/extracurricular grind, and some of our long-time members who see these same challenges facing their own children and grandchildren. You will not be the only person who doesn’t know everyone else!
-
Nope--just conversation and a meal! In order to make the most of our time together, we will be providing childcare (baby-sitting certified!) in the same building.
-
Just a willingness to connect and share your story! We’re here in listening mode, not instruction mode. Food and childcare are provided--come as you are!

We’ll find out together!
