Crossroads at St. Peter’s Church
Crossroads at St. Peter’s Church, in the heart of Freehold, was imagined as a place where people are welcomed at the crossroads of life, spirits are strengthened, life celebrated, and relationships formed for generations to come. Crossroads was a dream at St. Peter’s for many years, as our congregation and our ministries outgrew our previous Parish Hall and began to envision a modern, accessible, and flexible space that could serve the entire Freehold community.
The result is a multi-faceted space that contains smaller gathering rooms on the first floor and a large event hall and commercial kitchen on the second floor, which is elevator-accessible. This is our St. Peter’s home, and we also host regular group meetings as well as one-time events.
Crossroads at St. Peters Offers . . .
Over 7,000 square feet of ADA-accessible space on two floors, plus a basement, all reachable by elevator
Modern, commercial-quality kitchen for community programs and special events
Increased venue capacity for programs, conferences, and receptions
Flexible meeting space with a/v technology for local organizations and businesses
Available for community service, non-profit, general public, and business use.
Ministry at Crossroads at St. Peter’s
Crossroads offers clean and accessible space for us to engage with the Freehold community as well. The last two promises of the Baptismal Covenant form the heart of our outreach and community ministries at St. Peter’s. Indeed, these ministries are very important to our members as well for fellowship and an opportunity to connect our faith with the world around us as we engage both the local and global communities.
Many ministries and non-profit organizations use Crossroads space to provide a variety of resources to the Freehold community, including a bi-weekly soup kitchen, a bi-monthly Community Supper, and several health initiatives.
Learning and Art at Crossroads
If St. Peter’s Church is the oldest operational building in Freehold, Crossroads represents one of the newest. Traditional in design but modern in function, the space provides opportunities to gather and learn, with two conference rooms, a classroom, a large flex space, and a resource room. Artwork throughout the first floor of Crossroads reflects our story as people of God, and pays tribute to the history, people, and ministry of this place. There is also gallery space in the first floor hallway.
“Almighty and eternal God, you declare your glory and show forth your handiwork in the heavens and in the earth: Guide us through Buildings Crossroads so that the work we do is done in faith, truth, and beauty; help us to create a place of welcoming, a place of healing, a place of fellowship and celebration, a crossroads of all life in our community; for the sake of the one who came among us as one who serves, your Son Jesus Christ our Savior, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.”
