The group known as Women of St. Peter’s Church is our parish branch of the Episcopal Church Women. It has evolved from earlier groups dating back into the early part of the 20th century. All the women of the parish are members of the group. We meet once a month September to June, usually gathering on the first Wednesday each month with a potluck lunch and our business meeting. The meetings are held in Classroom A, downstairs in the Parish House at noon.

Our meeting agenda guides us in fulfilling our mission statement:
To support, promote and enhance the ministries of St. Peter’s Church in Freehold, New Jersey, through activities for and by the women members of its congregation.

A goal at every gathering we sponsor is to encourage fellowship as we are a Christian community. Being in relationship with each other is important and one of our goals whether at a meeting of 10 women or at the bazaar where we interact with over one hundred people. The Annual Holiday Bazaar is our major fund raiser usually scheduled before Thanksgiving. This event is supported by the entire parish and is a great opportunity for fellowship as well as fund generating. The money we raise at this event and others during the year is shared with the ministries of St. Peter’s either as a donation such as the annual one to the operating fund, or as improvements to the building such as the carpeting in the parish hall.
