Community Outreach During Winter Months
During the cold winter months, our outreach programs have even greater urgency. Our Community Suppers continue on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, and our Thrift Shop gladly takes donations of warm winter clothing for those in need. From December through March, the Emergency Housing & Advocacy Program provides food and nightly shelter to homeless men in the Freehold area.
LIFE 2.1 + Wiggle and Worship=Sunday Faith Formation at St. Peter’s
LIFE 2.1, or Living in Faith Everyday, offers an activity each Sunday at Fellowship Hour following the 10:00 am service during the program year. During Wiggle and Worship, we invite all children through 6th grade to learn a Bible story with reading, activities and songs during the sermon portion of the 10:00 am service. We know schedules are busy, and we want to make sure our St. Peter's family has access to faith formation for church and home every time they're here!
Our past is rich and full of great work, and we dream of expanding on our tradition of seeking and serving Christ in all people. However, our parish house, which has served us well, has reached the end of its useful life. Through discussion and prayer with the congregation we have discerned that now is the time to act and move forward! This fall, we are completing the approvals process with Freehold Borough and other planning boards. Ground-breaking is tentatively scheduled for late spring 2019!
