Trinity Church, Vincentown, has suffered tremendous damage to both the church and the parish hall. There was more than 5 ft. of water in both buildings. They will be worshipping in the Methodist Church on Main Street in Vincentown at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays until further notice.
St. Martin in the Fields, Lumberton, had more than 3 ft. of water in both the parish hall and parish office. They rectory has suffered structural damage.
We don't know the extent of damage to Trinity Church or St. Martin's at this time.
St. Peter's Church, Medford, is fine. They had a little bit of flooding Monday early evening - all cleaned up that night. They do have a couple of roof leaks that will need to be addressed. They had about an inch of water in the Rectory lower level, mostly in the Den and a little in the music room. Nothing major by comparison with so many others. They have many people available to help their neighbors as needed. Please let them know.
There have been calls from congregations asking what they could do to help. A flood relief fund has been set up to help these congregations. If you are able to help, please make checks payable to "Diocese of NJ - flood relief fund" and send to:
